Basmati Rice Cutlets

Ingredients :

  • Yellow moong dhal – 2 tbsp
  • Basmati rice – 2-3 tbsp
  • ¼ tsp cumin seeds powder
  • 1 tsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 medium potato, boiled
  • ½ tsp ginger garlic paste
  • ¼ tsp garam masala
  • 2 pinch pepper powder
  • ¼  tsp turmeric powder
  • Oil to grease the pan
  • Salt to taste
  • Sesame seeds for coating

Method :

  1. Wash the yellow moong dal and soak it overnight in water. In the morning drain the water and soak it again with the rice for 15 mins.
  2. Wash the rice thoroughly in water; soak in water for 15 mins along with moong dal.  Steam both in pan with little water. Once cooked allow it to cool.
  3. In a deep bowl add the mashed potato, spices mentioned and cooked rice & dal, Mix all the ingredients and make round balls. Coat the cutlets with sesame seeds.
  4. Keep this in refrigerator for 10 mins and then pan grill or fried in air fryer.
