Harabhara Oat Bran Dhokla

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oat bran
  • ½ cup fat free curd
  • 2-3 tbsp. spinach puree
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ tsp. white pepper
  • ½ tsp. cooking soda
  • Salt to taste

       For Tempering

  • 1 tsp. oil
  • 1 tsp. mustard seeds
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • 1 tsp. white sesame seeds

Method

  • Mix the oat bran, curd, water, spinach puree and white pepper. Keep aside for half an hour.
  • Then add 2-3 pinches of cooking soda and salt.
  • Pour the batter in the dhokla stand and steam for 7-8 minutes.

       For Tempering

  • Heat 1 tsp. oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves and white sesame seeds.
  • Spread it on the dhokla. Cut into pieces.
  • Serve with green chutney.
