Holi Special Thandai

Ingredients:

  • Skim milk
  • A few strands of saffron
  • Almonds, blanched & peeled
  • Cashew nuts, soaked
  • Pistachios, blanched & peeled
  • Melon seeds, soaked
  • Poppy seeds, soaked
  • Elaichi
  • Cinnamon
  • Date syrup

Method:

  • Boil milk in a pan. Add saffron and simmer. Grind together almonds, cashew nuts, pistachios, melon seeds & poppy seeds with a little milk to a fine paste. Add this paste to the milk and simmer for 3 minutes. Grind elaichi and cinnamon to a fine powder add to milk and mix well. Add date syrup and serve chilled.
