Tea and Coffee Consumption Guidelines

  • Avoid drinking tea or coffee on an empty stomach, as it can lead to acidity and discomfort.
  • It’s best to consume tea or coffee at least 30 minutes after meals to avoid interfering with digestion.
  • Limit your daily intake to 2 cups (400ml) or less. Excessive consumption can lead to jitters, anxiety, hinder iron absorption and insomnia.
  • Avoid having nuts along with tea or coffee, as it can hinder absorption of micronutrients .
  • If you need to take supplement or medicines, leave a gap of at least 1 hour after consuming tea or coffee to ensure optimal absorption.

Remember, moderation is key! Enjoy your tea and coffee responsibly.

    Dear Doctor,
    My gym trainer says to drink coffee in the morning 30 mins before the workout session. I don’t like the idea. I never followed my trainer’s advice. what is your opinion on drinking coffee before workout.
