Ingredients:
- Boneless chicken- 150 grams
- Basmati brown rice- 2-3 tbsp
- Ginger paste- 1/2 tsp
- Garlic- 2 pods
- Chilli
- Salt to taste
- Oil- 2 tsp
- Cloves- 4-5
- Green cardamoms- 2
- Bay leaves- 2
- Onions sliced- 1 medium
- Tomato chopped- 1 medium
- Grounded black pepper
- Salt
Method:
- Marinate the chicken in a mixture of the ginger garlic paste and salt for one hour.
- Heat the oil in a pressure cooker add the cloves, cinnamon, cardamoms, black pepper, chilli and bay leaves. Sauté for about ten seconds.
- Add the onions and saute till golden brown. Add the tomatoes and cook over high heat for three minutes
- Add the chicken with the marinade and sauté for two or three minutes. .
- Add rice and water. Seal the cooker with the lid and cook over medium heat till the pressure releases twice (two whistles).
- Remove the lid when the pressure has reduced completely and stir lightly to separate the rice grains.
- Serve hot
