Kacchi Haldi is known for improving digestion and trigger bile production and provide relief from symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. It has an earthy and peppery flavour and a slightly bitter taste.
- 1 tbsp of ghee
- 1/2 cup of washed, peeled & grated raw turmeric
- 1 onion-chopped
- 1 tomato-chopped
- 1 cup of peas
- 1/2 cup of hung curd
- 1/2 tsp jeera powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander seeds powder
- Salt as per taste
- Red chilli as per taste
- 2 tsp of ghee
- 1 tsp of grated ginger and garlic
- 1/2 tsp of jeera
- Pinch of hing
- Take some ghee in a pan. Add grated raw turmeric & cook for 6-7 mins. When it starts leaving ghee, add chopped onions and cook till onions are well cooked. Add fresh peas and cook for few mins. Add Himalayan pink salt, coriander seeds powder, red chilli powder and jeera powder. Add chopped tomatoes and cook it for 3-4 mins. Add hung curd and mix it well till it leaves ghee.
For the tadka, heat a seperate pan & add ghee, jeera, ginger, garlic and hing. Cook for 2 mins. Pour the tadka over the vegetable mix well. Our seasonal and local sabzi is ready.
